QUESTION MEME
Ok you know what I'm like 4,000 comments overdue and picking up steam again, AND I want to ramble, so here you go. Give me questions, watch me attempt to answer, also watch me attempt to like. Actually put a bunch of useful info in here in a hideous mess of disorganization because I realized despite talking about the general Warum story nonstop since 2010 that doesn't mean people who I haven't played with before will magically know what a glorious clusterfuck Lilith's life is :')

SURPRISINGLY, SOMEHOW, LILITH THINKS KATOU IS AN OK DUDE? like I don't know how this happened (yes I do it was entirely the GO TO HELL from the elevator game, look). She's still a little... like she doesn't think she likes him personally if that makes sense, she's aware he's a hot druggie mess who she has nothing in common with but she can absolutely respect that a: he and Uriel are close, b: he's just a regular levels of shitty dude who accidentally landed on Team We Fuck Everyone Over so... funnily, if anything, she's willing to be more charitable to him than any of the other members of Lycoris except maybe Robin since she's started having a few harmless interactions with him.
Rin is like. Still firmly in mildly intimidating LOOK AT THIS COOL ONEESAN? territory but also still genuinely fond? Just. Lilith feels like she's started consistently making an idiot of herself in front of Rin every time they talk and she wants to roll over and die, it's very much a case of "here is a person who naturally is the thing I try very hard to project" without realizing that Rin is just as much of a mess in different ways. ...She does want to get to know her better on a more genuine level instead of the sort of... surface level interactions they've been having (aside from that time Lilith got drunk and made Rin cry about her love life) but. Approaching intimidating ladies and deliberately revealing weakness is hard.
(That said I've got horse!Rin's toplevel in the latest post open in my pile of "things to hit if I stop dying in time. TOBIAS'S LAST TOPLEVEL IS IN THERE TOO FOR SNAKE...)
Snake has like no particular opinion on either Rin or Katou yet since she hasn't interacted with them much; Katou is interesting but like. not more or less so than any other shade.

ok so first here is some semi-optional background! I've mentioned this a few times but Lilith is essentially a sexswap of a character I've played a long time who is based off of a few Vocaloid songs: Warum, mainly, but with a side of Kokoro/Kiseki since my girlfriend wanted to play the mad scientist daddy from that and we're bad people who decided it would be funny to squish the two stories together. I highly recommend both songs because Warum has some sick angry guitar riffs and the entire Kokoro and Kokoro/Kiseki storyline is heartbreaking, although you might want to go check animelyrics.com for. better translations than the subs on that video because they're awful. why.
SO THE ACTUAL SUMMARY OF HOW THAT WORKED OUT: An arguably mad scientist, Lenka Kagamine (Len in the original story/that video) decided that since the robotic revolution was incoming and inescapable, he wanted to create a robot with the ability to feel human emotion, so that robots and humans would be able to understand each other properly and hopefully coexist peacefully as people. However, human hearts are fucking complicated! So after a while she decided well, what if there were a way to digitally record emotional data in such a way it could be used for programming a heart?
Installing the necessary kind of recording equipment into a living human without killing them/rendering them braindead/etc turned out to be completely impossible with the current level of technology, though, so instead Lenka decided the best thing was to get in contact with Meiko, a surgeon she'd gone to school with, and make herself two children instead of just the one robot daughter. So that actually went pretty well for a while: Rin was built and reprogrammed with everything but her "heart," and Lilith (whose original name was Kaiko) was successfully pieced together.
The problem was Lenka got overexcited. She wanted to meet both her new kids ASAP, so had the bright idea of bringing Kaiko to life while running tests on Rin's body. The resulting power drain and surge caused a fire to break out in the lab, which Lenka ended up having to run out to take care of right as Kaiko woke up, which meant her first few moments of life involved sirens, loud frightened people, and the sight of her mom running away from her instead of staying and comforting her.
This ended very poorly. Kaiko accidentally killed a lab tech trying to calm her down while trying to go after her mom, panicked, and then just bolted the hell on out of there. Despite extensive searching after, Lenka never managed to find her, and Kaiko went off to draw the entirely wrong conclusions about what had happened as she wandered through life accidentally killing/maiming a bunch of people and in general being miserable— before dying and renaming herself "Lilith," having never known her original name to begin with.
OKAY THAT IS PART ONE I'LL COME BACK WITH INFO ON HER GIRLFRIEND AND HOW SHE ACTUALLY KNOWS HER SISTER IN A SEC so it's just not insane text wall forever.

LILITH'S LIFE IS PAIN PART 2: the suckening
so Lilith ran away from home and was a feral child in the woods for a while. accidentally killed a little girl who she spotted falling into a river, got shot by the girl's dad and berserked for the first time to rip him apart, SUFFERING, ETC. Eventually she got closer to society and was caught stealing out of the garden of an elderly old woman who took one look at her and was like "get in here, I'm giving you a bath and then feeding you and we'll figure out what to do after that." That turned into longer-term adoption and Lilith-taming— this is the main reason Lilith's actually got like. a strong sense of morals and manners etc, because it was all but beaten into her by someone with the same temperament as Professor McGonogall. Unfortunately she got spotted by the neighbors while she was weeding the garden, the cops were called, and Lilith berserked again out of fear when they started playing good cop/bad cop with her grandmother and accidentally killed them all.
This resulted in Lilith running away again (after setting the nosy neighbors' house on fire), this time to the city, where she basically spent a year picking fights, solidifying her hatred of humans, and trying really hard to find a way to kill herself that would actually stick. (This is where the scenario in her aspect game came from, by the way; she did at one point try to drown herself, but it turns out she doesn't actually need to breathe. She's still phobic of deeper water, though, because she was too heavy to swim and was stuck under there choking on water for like a full day.) This lasted up until she picked the wrong fight with the wrong person (entirely on purpose) and got shot through the chest, destroying her heart. ...which against her hopes/expectations still didn't kill her. This basically became despair event horizon number one, as she decided she must not be allowed to die because that would be getting out of her punishment for living. (#lilithlogic)
Anyway, because even if she was still technically alive getting her heard destroyed left her a physical wreck, she ended up having to give up on pride enough to get food etc, which is how she met Miku at a local soup kitchen. Miku, being a good girl with both a deeply caring streak and also a radar for tsunderes who needed pushing around took one look at Lilith and decided that clearly this was a person who needed her to bully the hell out of them. LILITH WAS OF COURSE NEGATIVE INTERESTED but Miku persisted, and persisted, and persisted basically until Lilith forgot she was supposed to be trying to drive her away and they accidentally settled comfortably into old married couple bickering. This was around when she received her first name from Miku— "Eve."
Miku eventually convinced her to move in and let herself be taken care of at least a little in exchange for becoming a housewife and giving her someone to hash out homework with (Miku being a theology student.) This worked pretty well for about six months or so; over that period, they fell in love, although Eve was too oblivious to notice either her own feelings or Miku's significantly less subtle flirting and attempts at dates.
Eventually, on Miku's birthday, Miku went all in and confessed— prompting Eve to realize that her feelings were the same. They embraced, and Eve was too overwhelmed with happiness and her own starvation for touch to realize how much she wanted to hold on was far too tightly— and so Miku was crushed to death.
A LARGE AMOUNT OF GRIEVING AND OVERALL FEELINGS APOCALYPSE LATER, Eve—who discarded that name out of feelings of unworthiness and at that time refused to take another—decided that with nothing left to live for and no way to die, the only thing left to do was take revenge on the one who was ultimately responsible for how much pain she was in and how much death she had caused: her mother. There had been news releases rumoring of a "Kagamine's monster" back around when she'd originally run away, so that led her back to Lenka, where she hid long enough to find out about her sister and put together her final plan for revenge. She would wait until Lenka successfully put together a heart for Rin— and then she'd put it to use by torturing her to death while Lenka watched, before turning Lenka into a monster like herself.
Of course, before that plan came fully to fruition the local Yakuza and other criminal activity in the shitty part of town she'd been living in decided she'd meddled too much and had her hunted down and brutally executed, causing her to wake up on the riverbank in the Forest.
...SORRY THAT ENDED UP BASICALLY BEING A CANON SUMMARY INSTEAD OF CHARACTER SUMMARIES I JUST. PARTIALLY WANTED TO PUT ALL THAT IN HERE AS GENERAL INFO ANYWAY and you sort of unlocked the floodgates. lemme know if you want to know more about them as characters, although I will fully warn I've kept all of them kind of open to interpretation (aside from Lenka) in the ever-eternal hope I will get someone to play them long-term with me.
