edit: I NOW HAVE A SLIGHT IDEA WHAT I'M DOING HERE she's summonable as either Berserker or Assassin, pick your poison. Berserker is mostly mute but not too crazy (unless you count nearly compulsive defiance against everything) and stupid OP if you can power her; Assassin is less unpredictable but mouthy as fuck and nowhere near as strong.

[SPOOKS REALLY HARD and whips around with. nearly the reflexes of a heroic spirit?] -Ah. Hello.

[miraculess]

[ tilts her head to one side with the mildest expression possible as she looks down at him ]

[pathing]

[she's fucking with me she is ABSOLUTELY FUCKING WITH ME sighs, shoulders sagging, but he seems more comfortable for all that.] Aah... I should warn you, too, that I am contracted to Rider as well.

[miraculess]

[ wrinkles her nose again ]

Which?

[pathing]

One moment. [he pauses, and she might feel a touch mentally as he. sorts out his servant bonds, gently calling Astolfo over like the Rider hasn't been hovering excitedly in the next room since before this even started. he bounces in (dressed mega cutely) and looks her over. His face falls.] "This isn't Siegfried at all!"

[miraculess]

[ —drawing herself up to her full height and glaring ]

[pathing]

Rider...

[Astolfo laughs, though, recovering quickly and COMPLETELY FEARLESS in the face of her glare.]

"Don't get mad! You're Berserker, right? It's nice to have you on board! I think this means it didn't work, though? Sieg was supposed to summon Siegfried back, so he wouldn't have to be our Saber anymore."

[Sieg is just putting his head in his hands now]

[miraculess]

[ somehow manages to look simultaneously alarmed, confused, and grouchy, all while slowly fluffing up like an angry cat ]

What.

[pathing]

[Astolfo opens his mouth- and Sieg quickly covers it with a hand.] It's... a long story. Currently I can act as Saber for short periods of time, despite being a magus. [gestures to the sword at his side, like it will hide the short pause before "magus"]

[miraculess]

[ frrrrowning again

assuming Sieg can keep Astolfo from speaking for that long, eventually she says, very carefully: ]

You're... supporting three. Alone.

[pathing]

I wouldn't call it supporting three...

[miraculess]

[ makes a face. you cannot tell her you don't use mana while acting like a Saber. ]

[pathing]

...Not all the time, at least.

[miraculess]

[ huffs at him, looking slightly worried ]

[pathing]

[Astolfo manages to pry his hand off while he's distracted.] "Being Saber takes up a lot of his mana, but he seems to have a limited number of times he can do it, too. It's definitely affecting his lifespan. Saber did his best to give him the time he has, so it's too sad to waste it on this war! You'll help us win in ways that don't ask that of him, right?" Rider. [goddamnit]

[miraculess]

[ processes that, and just. covers her face.

but he's at least been courteous, which is more than she could say about a lot of people and Masters, and wanting to live in the face of other forces trying to take that away... ]

...I'll try.

[pathing]

...Thank you, Berserker. There's no reason to hold back, with Astolfo working with us [Rider takes this moment to laugh, not in the slightest bit apologetic], so I may as well just tell you the whole story. If you want...?

[miraculess]

[ she slants Rider another deeply unimpressed look through her fingers before looking back to Sieg and nodding ]

Please.

[pathing]

[nods, and turns to Rider.]

Then, in private.

"Aww, I can't add my side of the story?"

You'll be a distraction. Please.

"If you say so!"

[rider wanders off]

[ snorts under her breath, very quietly, and then sits down where she stands, tucking her legs neatly beneath herself and trying her best to ignore the way it puts him above her. it's uncomfortable in the way anything resembling subservience has become uncomfortable, her Mad Enhancement's effects itching in her bones and the back of her mind and tugging her toward disobedience for the sake of nothing more than stubborn contrariness.

(and destroying everything she touched.) ]

[pathing]

[He isn't standing over her for long, following suit and taking a seat as well, politely, but also like he's still not quite accustomed to his own limbs.] I am a homunculus. Specifically, I was made to provide mana in the place of the Masters of Black, along with many others of my kind.

[miraculess]

[ —simultaneously fluffs up and creaks alarmingly as she tenses, even as the expression just sort of drops off of her face to be replaced by feral intensity

[pathing]

[glances up at her and. whoa. pauses for a few moments, before forging on.] I don't know exactly how long I've been alive, but I became aware a little under a month ago. I spent some time before that in a tank. I... was never supposed to leave that tank, but I found my survival instinct and broke out.

[miraculess]

[ I'm sorry if you expected her to become more chill as your story went on, Sieg. ...she's listening, at least, although hardly blinking at all ]
