edit: I NOW HAVE A SLIGHT IDEA WHAT I'M DOING HERE she's summonable as either Berserker or Assassin, pick your poison. Berserker is mostly mute but not too crazy (unless you count nearly compulsive defiance against everything) and stupid OP if you can power her; Assassin is less unpredictable but mouthy as fuck and nowhere near as strong.

I already have information networks in place! The war has yet to begin, and you are perhaps the second Servant summoned. There's much to do, but I've already prepared what can be done now.

[yes he literally chose to summon a berserker, this wasn't him being forced to summon a class that almost guaranteed loss.]

[ huffs at him again in response to the laugh, but— he chose...?

...glancing down at the summoning circle for the first time, checking for a catalyst ]

numbly squatting down with a low whirr to pick it up; the pads of her fingers fit neatly against several of the places the lacquer had been worn away.

sorry if you'd been expecting a useful response, Camio. ]

[he wasn't. in fact, he steps back a bit to let her have a moment.]

[ despite the fact that she is clearly having that moment, the movement is still enough to catch her eye, and she favors him with yet another of those measuring gazes before turning her attention back to the chess piece. she rolls it over in her fingers a few times before sighing, and pressing it to her unscarred cheek with an expression not unlike a cat scentmarking something beloved (if significantly sadder).

...that done, she holds one hand back out to Camio. ]

[...he steps forward and takes her hand. that's what she wanted, right?]

[miraculess]

[ not quite. she turns his hand over with the same sort of exaggerated care she'd used placing her hand against his before, and puts the chess piece carefully in it.

then she dissolves. ]

[tostandoutside]

[....going to call that a success. curls his fingers carefully around it, then places it safely in his pocket, before setting about cleaning up the traces of the summoning from his shed.]

[ that does seem to have been success-shaped.

there's no sign of her for a while after that, though. ]

[He heads back to the main house after cleaning up, but is pretty much immediately waylaid by John Dee who notes his command seals and makes a point of asking Camio whether he's sure about this. Camio makes it clear that he's sure, to the point where his retainer seems satisfied, even a little chagrined.

After that, it's to the kitchen to make a very nice dinner.]

[ about halfway through that there are soft whirring noises from the dining room, the distinct sounds of someone tentatively padding around barefoot ]

[barefoot... cute. pokes his head out of the kitchen.]

Ah, Berserker. I've made too much. Do you want some?

[miraculess]

[ her head comes up, wearing an expression verging on guilt... probably because he caught her in the middle of starting to sneak toward the kitchen. that quickly becomes pretty naked greed and interest for the brief moment before she forces herself to calm the Hell down

...nodding :x ]

[beckons, apparently unbothered by her wide open expression.

in the kitchen there are a few piping hot proper italian pizzas, made in... the stone oven.

why is this kitchen full of basically every kitchen utensil imaginable? it's MASSIVE.]

[ :x!!! padding in...

...forget the pizza, she wants to play in it. even going by subjective time, she has no idea when the last time she cooked anything was. TIME TO GET COMPLETELY DISTRACTED FROM THE FOOD BY TOYS ]

[that is. adorable. he'll sit back and eat some pizza himself, content to let her run wild in his kitchen.]

[miraculess]

[ she's notably scrupulously keeping her hands to herself, but just as notably looking more at what's actually useful as compared to just fancy looking.

...eventually shaking herself and coming to check out the pizzas, glancing at him ]

[takes a moment to finish chewing his mouthful of pizza, then smiles at her.]

It's not my best, but I think it's still tasty.

[miraculess]

[ makes another of those huffy noises at him, sardonic. not only did she live off of literal garbage, she hasn't actually eaten pizza before; there's no way this won't be the best she's had.

gently pulling away one of the smaller pieces (old habits die hard, don't eat too much too quickly—) and nibbling at it, more mindful of possibly burning her mouth that she was with her fingers. she sighs again around that mouthful, though, this time contented. ]

Hm. I'll take that as approval.

[and so he begins to neatly pack up a few slices, along with some fruit.]

[miraculess]

[ makes an almost noncommittal hum only to pitch it up at the end as she notices that, questioning ]

I'm going to bring some to Maria. Do you want to come along?

[miraculess]

[ goes very still

...takes another bite and shakes her head ]
