—the sound of a shrieking alarm cuts across the calm and quiet, and you jerk awake. The instant your eyes open, the sounds stops as though it had never been, leaving only ringing in your ears... and fading footsteps from the doorway of the large room you're in.

You're lying on your back on an operating table. Assorted medical supplies lie on a tray nearby, all of them coated in the same thick dust blanketing the rest of the room. Despite that, someone is asleep on the floor nearby.

The table creaks under the sudden movement, but that's all. Ryner may have some difficulty not falling directly on his ass; his joints feel stiff, and his body far away and numb. Like he's been lying there long enough for most of his limbs to fall asleep.

All the scalpels remain properly laid out on the folding tray. Whoever this place belonged to at least practiced proper safety procedures. ...Well, aside from the woman sleeping on the floor.

She's blonde, with choppy chin-length hair. Her labcoat is rumpled, and missing a button. She's a little dusty, but nowhere near as much as the rest of the room; it looks like someone's made an attempt to brush it off of her, but not especially recently.

She doesn't respond to that, either, but perhaps that's to be expected. With that much dust built up, she must have been sleeping a very long time.

The sound of fabric being brushed off sounds eerily like whispering, to the point where he can almost make out words... At least the worst of the dust is easily knocked away, even if it gets all over his hands and sleeves in the process.

There's a little puff of dust as xe sits; it gets all over xyr pants. The sleeping woman doesn't stir, but perhaps that's to be expected. She's covered in nearly as much dust as the rest of the room, after all.

There are several scalpels; as dusty as they are, they're still sharp. Kiritsugu will have to be careful not to fumble it, though; his joints feel stiff, and his body far away and numb. Like he's been lying there long enough for most of his limbs to fall asleep. He did sit up quickly enough to catch a glimpse of someone short and blonde leaving the room at nearly a run.
